“Unexpected growth” was a term I used often in 2010 when discussing RBI. Year two of MS RBI absolutely exploded in terms of participants in the summer league and interest in the program. Alvin Franklin, outfielder and pitcher from Murrah High School in Jackson, Miss, is the 2010 Baseball without Borders RBI scholarship winner. Franklin has been awarded a scholarship ($1,950 value) to join a team of players traveling to the Dominican Republic July 27-August 2, 2010.  They will be coached by George Mason University coach Kyle Werman.
